01

Setting up

1
Rinse everything first

Give the bowl, lid, pump and filter a rinse under warm water before first use. No soap needed - it just clears any manufacturing residue.

2
Soak & fit the filter

Soak the filter in clean water for 5 minutes first - this removes loose dust and helps it sink. Give it a rinse, then slot it into its housing.

3
Seat the pump & fill

Press the pump firmly onto the base so the suction cups grip, then fill with water up to the max line. The pump must stay fully submerged.

Always keep water above the pump - running it dry can damage the motor.
4
Plug in & prime

Connect the USB power (5V/1A adapter). It may bubble or gurgle for the first minute while the pump primes - that's normal. Once the water runs smoothly, you're set.

5
Let your cat come to it

Place it somewhere quiet, away from the litter tray. Some cats take a day or two to switch - that's completely normal.

Shy drinker? Leave their old bowl nearby for a few days, then remove it.

Change your filter roughly once a month

The filter is what keeps the water clean and tasting fresh - the single most important thing for your cat drinking happily. Each filter lasts up to a month. When flow drops or the water looks cloudy, it's time.

Hard water or a multi-cat home? Change it every 10 days instead - filters work harder in those conditions.

Never run out with a filter subscription: fresh ones arrive automatically, so you never have to remember.

Quick fixes

The pump is noisy or humming +
Almost always a low water level - top it up so the pump is fully covered. If it persists, unplug, take the pump apart and gently brush out any hair or debris around the impeller with a soft brush.
No water is flowing +
Check the pump is firmly seated and powered. Give it a minute to prime after filling. If nothing happens, open the pump and make sure the small impeller spins freely.
My cat won't drink from it +
Give it time - cats can be cautious of new things. Keep it away from food and litter, and leave their old bowl nearby for a few days before removing it. Most cats come around within a week.
The water gets cloudy quickly +
Usually a tired filter or a clean that's overdue. Swap the filter, rinse the bowl and pump, and refill. If your water is hard, a monthly descale with diluted white vinegar helps.

01

Setting up

1
Rinse everything first

Give the ceramic base, water tray, pump and filter parts a rinse under warm water before first use. No soap needed.

2
Soak the filter, then place the tray

Soak the carbon filter in clean water for 5 minutes to remove loose carbon dust and help it sink. Fit the filter and its bracket, then set the filter tray in place.

3
Insert the pump & connect the pipes

Sit the pump into the base and attach the water pipe and outlet pipe (the spout). Make sure the pump is seated firmly so it stays put.

4
Fill & fit the ceramic tray

Fill with water to the max line, keeping the pump fully submerged, then place the ceramic drinking tray on top.

Never run the pump dry - always keep water above it.
5
Plug in & prime

Connect the USB power (5V/1A adapter). A little bubbling for the first minute is normal while it primes. The switch on the pump adjusts the flow.

6
Let your cat come to it

Place it somewhere quiet, away from the litter tray. Ceramic runs beautifully quiet, so most cats settle to it quickly.

Shy drinker? Leave their old bowl nearby for a few days, then remove it.

Ceramic tip: the glaze wipes clean easily, but check the spout and pipes for slime during your weekly rinse - that's where it hides. A soft brush helps.

No water is flowing +
Check the pump is firmly seated and powered, and that the pipes are properly connected. Give it a minute to prime after filling. If nothing happens, open the pump and make sure the small impeller spins freely.

Give it time - cats can be cautious of new things. Keep it away from food and litter, and leave their old bowl nearby for a few days before removing it. Most cats come around within a week.
White marks on the ceramic +
That's limescale from hard water, harmless but easy to remove. Wipe with a cloth dipped in diluted white vinegar, then rinse well. A monthly descale keeps the glaze looking its best.
